American Suzuki Posts Best February in Over a Decade; Sales up 55 Percent from Last Year
BREA, Calif.--March 1, 2000--American Suzuki automotive sales climbed to a new record in February with increases across all six models in the Suzuki line.Led by strong sales of the Grand Vitara, which posted a 28 percent increase over last year, American Suzuki sold 5,247 vehicles, notching a sizable 55 percent increase over the same period last year.
Attributing brisk sales in what is characteristically a slower-selling month, Gary Anderson, American Suzuki Motor Corp. vice president of sales and marketing, noted, "In light of sharply rising gas prices, the appeal of Suzuki's line of fuel-efficient, well-built, value-packed cars and SUVs is better than ever."
