Jaguar Cars Reports February Sales
MAHWAH, N.J., March 1 -- Jaguar Cars today announced its
February sales results. United States retails totaled 3,516 cars, up nearly
187 percent compared with February 1999.
Jaguar S-TYPE sedan retails in February were 2,108, while XJ Series sedan
sales totaled 869, and XK Series sports car sales totaled 539, up over
65 percent compared with 326 cars sold in February 1999.
"This year is already proving to be an exciting one for Jaguar," said Mike
O'Driscoll, executive vice president of Jaguar North America. "Tremendous
customer reaction to the S-TYPE sedan, increasing car sales, worldwide rave
reviews of the F-TYPE CONCEPT, and Jaguar's re-entry into Formula One racing
are signs of good things to come for Jaguar in the year 2000."
Jaguar Canada sold 157 cars during the month, surpassing the same period
last year by nearly 283 percent.
