    ST. CATHARINES, Ontario--March 1, 2000-- (TSE:TSN.)

    TecSyn announced today that it has concluded the sale of its Poli-Twine Group to Polymer Technologies Inc., a Corporation formed by a private capital firm for $53,000,000 Canadian cash. The Poli-Twine Group will become an autonomous manufacturing company operated by current management as Polymer Technologies Inc.
    This transaction is expected to consume substantially all of TecSyn's existing tax losses.
    TecSyn is the world's largest supplier of automotive restraint and convenience netting products, and the world's most advanced manufacturer of powdered metal cylinder liners utilizing TecSyn's proprietary cold isostatic compaction technology.
