Subaru Announces February Sales Figures; Second Best February Sales Month EverCHERRY HILL, N.J., March 1 -- Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) today announced its February sales figures. Subaru recorded a sales total of 13,951 units for the month, up 26 percent over February 1999 sales. Year-to- date totals of 26,401 units are up 26 percent over 1999 year-to-date totals (20,926 units). This marks the company's second best February total sales month ever. The Legacy model line led sales with 7,840 units posted -- a 19 percent increase over the same period last year. Outback sales were up 30 percent (5,565 units) versus 1999 February sales (4,282 units). Forester posted 4,623 units, an increase of 37 percent over the same month last year.
