IMPCO Announces the Release of Two New Products for Industrial UseCERRITOS, Calif., March 1 -- IMPCO Technologies, Inc. today announced that it has released its new four and five gas exhaust analyzer, the FGA-4000/4005 to the marketplace and a new carbon dioxide monitoring system, the Co-Trac(R) in March at the Hannover fair in Hannover, Germany. (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990921/IMPCOLOGO ) The Co-Trac(R) carbon monoxide tracking system and the Co-Trend(R) analysis software has been developed for monitoring of air quality within a facility. Dennis Hartman, Vice President and General Manager said, "Carbon monoxide (CO) is an industrial hazard and there are many potential sources of CO in the workplace so it is important to monitor and manage the workplace environment to ensure quality air. The release of this product at the Hannover fair signifies IMPCO's total commitment to the material handling industry," noted Mr. Hartman. The Co-Trac(R) carbon monoxide tracking system monitors and records carbon monoxide levels to monitor compliance with OSHA exposure limits. When mounted on a forklift or other powered vehicle, the monitor samples air near the operator's head to provide an accurate exposure history. At the same time, stationary monitors can be used to track trends in specific locations throughout the facility. The Co-Trac(R) employs an 85db alarm, which sounds when dangerous levels of CO are reached, but does not sound for harmless, short-term exposure. The unit operates on 12 volts DC or an AC adapter and stores readings for 40 days. The coordinating analysis software can be used to download the Co-Trac(R) and display historical graphs of the CO levels. The gas analyzers were developed as a rugged, portable unit in conjunction with a leading equipment manufacturer; they are specifically designed to meet our exacting standards. These compact, portable units are rugged enough for service vans, job site repairs or as a dedicated piece of shop equipment. Dennis Hartman, Vice President and General Manager said, "The need for sophisticated diagnostic tools and equipment is triggered by the ever-changing industrial and material handling industry, specifically the ambient emission level requirements necessary to comply with OSHA standards, and the impending CARB emission regulations. Increasing emphasis is being placed on maintaining initial emission performance throughout the design life of the application. The repair industry has recognized the need for specialized training and equipment, and IMPCO is committed to meeting these needs with a host of products and services." The FGA series is a world-class analyzer designed to assist the repair technician in the diagnosis and service of IMPCO alternative fuel systems. The FGA 4005 is a five-gas analyzer system, which includes NoX. The FGA 4000 and FGA 4005 operate on AC or, as an option for increased mobility, can operate on 12 volts. Printers can be used for hard copy documentation. For more information contact IMPCO at 1-562-860-6666 or jsmitchell@impcotechnologies.com.
