Mr. Oei Hong Leong Joins the Board of DynaMotive Technologies as Co-ChairmanVANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 29 -- DynaMotive Technologies Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: DYMTF) today announced that Mr. Oei Hong Leong, Chairman and CEO of China Strategic Holdings, has joined the Company's Board of Directors as Co-Chairman. DynaMotive recently announced that it has entered into a new strategic alliance with China Energy Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of China Strategic Holdings Limited. "China Energy Holdings is fully committed to advancing DynaMotive's BioOil production technology in China and other parts of Asia and supporting the Company's expansion efforts around the world," said Mr. Oei. "We have not only made a substantial investment in the Company, but plan to be very active in working with DynaMotive to establish strategic partnerships required to build commercial scale BioOil plants in China and other countries in Asia." "DynaMotive is very eager to work with China Energy Holdings to introduce our technology into China/Asia. BioOil has the potential to play an important role in energy balance in Asia as a renewable, clean, liquid fuel alternative to traditional petroleum based fuels. The production cost of BioOil should be substantially reduced as economies of scale are triggered once full scale commercial BioOil plants are completed. In addition, the recent increase in oil prices give a buoyancy to BioOil's competitive niche. We recognize that strategic partnerships coupled with a thorough knowledge of the marketplace will be essential," said DynaMotive's Chairman Richard Lin. "Mr. Oei has had tremendous success doing business in China. Furthermore, his experience in the energy field will be of great assistance to us. We are thrilled that Mr. Oei has agreed to join our Board of Directors and as Co-Chairman." Mr. Oei is the Chairman and CEO of China Strategic Holdings Limited with investments in energy, tire manufacturing, breweries, paper, pharmaceuticals and other light and heavy industries including power plants, diesel engine manufacturing, cement, chemical plants, electrical machinery and auto parts as well as information technology and e-commerce related projects. Mr. Oei has been instrumental in the privatization of formerly state-owned businesses in China and is chairman of more than 40 joint ventures in China. In addition Mr. Oei is chairman of several listed companies including MRI Holdings Ltd., an Australian listed company, and PacificNet.com LLC, a B2B e-commerce solution provider which was recently acquired by Creative Master International, Inc. . He also has media and real estate interests in Hong Kong, Singapore, the USA, Australia and Canada and owns the Plaza of Nations and other properties in Vancouver, BC.
