B2B Solution Streamlines Commerce Across Automotive Industry Supply Chain; b2b.netpace.com uses unique XML solution to integrate trading partners in any industry

    UNION CITY, Calif.--Feb. 29, 2000--After their initial release of a working prototype last week (at http://b2b.netpace.com), leading E-Commerce application builders, NetPace, finalized their project plan for B2B industry wide web based solution. The fast pace plan will be accomplished by the end of second quarter this year, allowing virtually all industries to streamline B2B transactions across the whole supply chain without the requirement of any new hardware or software.
    NetPace plans to develop a Global Trading Forum (GTF), using XML and XSL (Extensible Style Sheet language) as the key elements in the framework. The XSL along with the data will produce presentable front-end pages. The Global B2B trading forum will be based on NetPace's propriety NFS Technology supporting multiple industries to buy and sell their services. NetPace is also planning to distribute its plug-able component NAC to allow integration of existing ERP systems with NFS. Though being a global marketplace for all industries, NetPace B2B Global Trading Forum will initially target the automotive industry providing multiple auto venders a common E-Trade zone.
    Key benefit of Global Trading forum is that B2B integration improves external processes such as supplier chain integration or shipping/logistic tracking by enabling rapid, cost-effective real-time links between business partners. Furthermore there is no extensive IT systems integration to take advantage of GTF, industries only require a browser and an Internet connection.
