    Former Siemens CEO
Perry, 55, has worked in the automotive community for nearly 30 years,
first with the Ford Motor Company as an electronics reliability engineer and
then, in 1975, the automotive electronic group of Bendix (now Siemens). After
helping to launch an electronic plant in Toulouse, France, he rose to the
position of worldwide vice president of Quality in 1984. Perry was appointed
vice president and general manager of the company's Fuel System Components
Division in 1987 and was elected to the board of Siemens Automotive
Corporation in 1992. He was then appointed president and CEO in 1993 and
served successfully until he elected to take early retirement at the end of
1999.

    At Yazaki
As president of the company's Ford Business Unit, Perry will work to grow
Yazaki's global business with Ford and oversee the development of Yazaki
products specifically targeted for application to Ford's worldwide vehicle
lineup. As executive vice president at Yazaki, Perry's input should
strengthen the company's electronics growth initiatives. He will also take an
active role in guiding special corporate projects such as Yazaki's developing
e-commerce activities.
"This is an exciting time for me, personally, and in the vehicle power and
electrical distribution business," said Perry. "There are so many changes
going on daily in this business, and Yazaki -- as one of its leaders in North
America, and around the world -- is right in the middle of it all."
Suzuki said Perry's global management experience and keen knowledge of the
auto industry made him a valuable addition to the Yazaki team. He added that
during Perry's six-year tenure as president and CEO of Siemens Automotive, the
company's North American business increased 400 percent.
"George Perry is one of the most accomplished and proven veterans in the
automotive industry," said Suzuki. "He will play a key and strategic role as
our company continues to grow globally as a preferred provider of in-vehicle
power and data solutions."
Perry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from
Pratt Institute. A board member of the Convergence Transportation Electronics
Association, Job's for America's Graduates, and Oakland County's Automation
Alley. He is also a member of the Executive Board of Vision 2000, an SAE-
sponsored initiative.
