28 February 2000

Round Up of Torvec's Patent Portfolio
    ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 28 -- Torvec, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: TOVC), developer of advanced and fuel-efficient
automotive technologies and the Fast Tracked Vehicle, today released a round
up of its growing patent portfolio.

    CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT
Torvec has patented its Constant Velocity Joint in the United States,
Australia and Korea. Torvec recently announced that it had also been granted
a European patent for the CV Joint. The Company plans to continue to protect
this patent by registering it for use in major Europe's major automotive
producing countries, such as Germany, France, Great Britain and others.

-- The Torvec Constant Velocity Joint is intended to replace the constant
velocity joints currently used in front-wheel drive vehicles and other
mechanical applications. Torvec's CV Joint has lower unit size, weight
and manufacturing cost than current technology.

    HYDRAULIC PUMP AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Torvec has received patents for its Hydraulic Assembly in the United
States, Japan, Korea, Canada and Australia. Patents are pending in Europe,
Brazil and Mexico. Torvec has been advised that its patent has been allowed
in Europe and expects an official patent to be issued later this year. The
Company plans to register its European patent in several markets.

-- Torvec's Hydraulic Pump and Motor Assembly is small, lightweight and
powerful. In the past, hydraulics were not acceptable for use in cars
and light trucks due to their excessive noise, heat and weight.
