Sames Forms Strategic Alliance With JBI, L.P.; Signs Leading U.S. Equipment Distributor

    FRANKLIN PARK, Ill., Feb. 28 -- Sames Corporation (Amex: BIN)
announced today the formation of a strategic alliance with JBI, L.P. based in
Osseo, WI.  Arnold H. Dratt, President and CEO of Sames, said that he expects
JBI to become an important part of the Company's drive to increase its share
of the general industry market in North America.  JBI is a leading
manufacturer of paint spray booths, and will manufacture the Sames line of
powder booths, including ProTouch and SoftTouch powder booths.  "We are very
excited about the opportunity to be aligned with Sames, who we view as the
technology leader for supplying powder coating equipment and systems", stated
Dan Burnard, Executive Vice President of JBI.
    JBI will provide the turnkey installation of the new Sames Customer
Demonstration Facility in Livonia, MI.  This new facility will allow current
and prospective customers to evaluate the performance capabilities of Sames
liquid electrostatic and powder coating equipment and systems.  The facility
is expected to open in April.  The alliance with JBI will also support the
growth of Sames' distributor network in North America.  This strategy is
exemplified by the distributor agreement signed on February 17, 2000 with
Dove Equipment Co., Inc. based in East Peoria, Illinois.  Dove is an existing
distributor for JBI, and will represent the full Sames general industry
product line in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Mexico.  "The breadth of the
Sames electrostatic product line compliments our strengths in installing and
supporting paint and powder systems to our customer base", said Roy
Winemiller, President of Dove.
    Dove is one of the top industrial distributors in North America. "Their
experience with liquid electrostatic and powder systems makes for an ideal
partnership with Sames," said Bruce Bryan, Vice President of Sames. "In
addition, Dove is strategically located in key industrial geographies for
Sames." Dove Equipment has offices in East Peoria, IL; Des Moines, IA;
Rockford, IL; Moline, IL; and Chicago, IL.  They have recently announced the
opening of a new office in Milwaukee, WI.  In addition, Dove has offices in
Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Peubla, Mexico.
