Ford Motor Company Selects MERANT as Global Standard for Managing Change; MERANT Egility Solutions Will Drive Ford's Application Development
    ROCKVILLE, Md., Feb. 28 -- MERANT (London: MRN)
today announced that Ford Motor Company , the world's second largest
producer of automotive products and services, has selected MERANT to provide
Ford an enterprise standard for application development management (ADM).
With the MERANT Egility(TM) framework for managing Web content and business
applications, Ford will be able to effectively manage change while protecting
valuable software assets, allowing Ford to produce higher quality software in

    As part of the MERANT Egility solution, Ford Motor Company will
