Hayes Lemmerz Names Key Executives

Hayes Lemmerz Names Key Executives to its Newly Formed European Chassis Components Group
    NORTHVILLE, Mich., Feb. 25 -- Hayes Lemmerz International,
Inc. , one of the world's leading suppliers of wheels, brakes,
powertrain, suspension, structural and other lightweight components to the
automotive and commercial highway markets, today announced several
appointments to its newly formed European Chassis Components Group, which
include Metaalgieterij Giesen B.V. (MGG) and the System Service division.  The
announcement was made by Klaus Junger, who recently became president of the
European Chassis Components Group, as part of Hayes Lemmerz' strategic
realignment.
    The following executives will report directly to Mr. Junger:

    -- Harrie Giesen will continue as President of MGG, the Dutch-Belgian
       aluminum foundry and machining operation.  Mr. Giesen has more than
       25 years of experience in the area of light alloy components.

    -- Albert Schedl will continue as General Manager of the System Service
       division.  The System Service division includes six wheel and tire
       assembly plants throughout Europe.

    -- Horst Koll has been appointed Vice President of Marketing and Sales of
       the European Chassis Components Group.  Mr. Koll joined the Company
       more than 25 years ago and has served in various sales and marketing
       functions.

    -- Klaus Althoff has been appointed Director of Finance and Controlling of
       the European Chassis Component Group.  Mr. Althoff was formerly
       Director of Finance of the European Fabricated Wheels business unit.

strategic goals.  A critical component of this alignment is the placement of
these key individuals," said Mr. Junger.
