Modine Selected Among '100 Best Corporate Citizens'
RACINE, Wis.--Feb. 25, 2000--Modine Manufacturing Company has been chosen by Business Ethics magazine as one of the "100 Best Corporate Citizens." The listing will be the cover article of the March/April 2000 issue of Business Ethics, a publication on corporate social responsibility that is dedicated to celebrating progressive management practices.The magazine's listing evaluates public companies that best serve four stakeholder groups: stockholders, employees, customers, and the community. Researchers at Boston College's Carroll School of Management rated corporations based on social rankings compiled by Kinder, Lydenberg, Domini & Co., a social research firm in Boston. Modine ranked 88th on the listing with an overall rating of 3.42667 out of a perfect 5.0. IBM ranked first on the list with an overall rating of 4.15167.
