Dana's Long Manufacturing Facilities in United States Receive ISO 14001 Environmental CertificationTOLEDO, Ohio, Feb. 24 -- Dana Corporation announced today each of its Long Manufacturing facilities in the United States has received ISO 14001 certification. ISO 14001 certification recognizes Long Manufacturing's compliance with all North American environmental regulations, the adoption of more environmentally friendly production processes, and the implementation of contamination-control programs. (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990903/DANA ) The facilities, located in Danville, Ind.; Sheffield, Pa.; Dallas, Texas; and St. Clair and Rochester Hills, Mich., are registered to the international environmental standard. To achieve the ISO 14001 certification_ Long Manufacturing utilized an Environmental Management System (EMS), which helped determine the effectiveness of procedures and conformance to environmental policy. The EMS program included awareness and training programs, the introduction of new machining methods, the launch of recycling programs, and an aggressive in- plant communication campaign.
