Roger E. Rickey Named Vice President and General Manager CTS Reeves Frequency Products

    ELKHART, Ind.--Feb. 24, 2000--CTS Corporation has named Roger E. Rickey Vice President and General Manager of CTS' frequency products business according to an announcement today by William J. Kaska, Executive Vice President, CTS.
    Rickey is a seasoned veteran of the automotive and electronics industries both domestically and internationally. He brings over 38 years of broad based engineering, manufacturing, quality and management skills to his new position with CTS. Rickey will be responsible for planning, directing and managing CTS' frequency control manufacturing operations in Sandwich, IL; Carlisle, PA; Singapore, Republic of Singapore; and Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. These facilities produce and sell a broad line of quartz-based crystal, clock oscillator and precision oscillator products for applications primarily in the communications equipment and computer equipment markets worldwide.
    Rickey received an A.A. degree in Automotive Technology from Southern Illinois University in 1962 and a BA degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University in 1978. He began his career with Ford Motor Company in 1962, where for 18 years he steadily progressed in engineering, manufacturing and quality positions.
    Prior to joining Chrysler Motors Corporation, Acustar Electronics Division in 1986, he held several diverse managerial positions including Director of Engineering for the Automotive Products Division of United Technologies Corporation; General Manager, Automotive Controls Division of Illinois Tool Works; Executive Vice President, Nartron Corporation; and Vice President of Manufacturing Operations for the Holly Automotive Division of Colt Industries.
    While at Chrysler Acustar, Rickey served in the positions of Manager of the Huntsville Electronics Division, Executive Assistant to the President, and Director of Thermal Products Operation. From 1990 to 1995, he operated a successful, broad based consulting company, RE Rickey & Associates Inc. In 1995, he was recruited by, and accepted the position of Vice President and General Manager, Joseph Pollak Corporation, Transportation Electronics Division. He rejoined his consulting company in 1997 to devote his total energies to that business.
    Rickey is a member of The Society of Automotive Engineers, Society for Quality Control and The American Management Association.
    He has served on the Board of Directors of Madison County, Alabama United Way; American Red Cross; Junior Achievement; North Alabama International Trade Association; Humana Hospital of Huntsville; and The University of Alabama Huntsville Technical Advisory Board.
