UNIDYNE to Consolidate Manufacturing, Corporate Facilities In Kenosha, WisconsinEXTON, Pa., Feb. 24 -- UNIDYNE Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: UDYN) today announced it will relocate its corporate headquarters to its Kenosha, Wisc. facility as part of its previously announced business-improvement program. The Exton, Penn.-based maker of specialty equipment also said it has closed an assembly facility in Exton in order to consolidate its manufacturing capabilities in Kenosha. The closure, which included the elimination of 25 full-time jobs in Exton, and consolidation of other business functions in Kenosha are expected to yield approximately $1.7 million in annual cost savings. UNIDYNE said it will retain a presence and staff in Exton, including a sales and service facility focused on serving the Company's customers in the emissions testing market in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The sales and service office will be located at 118 Pickering Way. "Today's announcement, as well as other business-improvement initiatives that are underway, represent important steps for UNIDYNE's future," said Wayne R. Lorgus, president and chief financial officer. "The UNIDYNE board, senior management and representatives of our business adviser, Colmen Capital, have been working closely to develop a plan to restore the Company's financial health. Over the next several months, we will complete the execution of this plan with the continuing cooperation of our employees, suppliers and creditors."
