Ryobi Die Casting Names Ted M. McQuinn President and CEO

Ryobi Die Casting (USA), Inc. Names Ted M. McQuinn President and Chief Executive Officer
           Automotive Industry Veteran Brings More Than 30 Years Of
                        Leadership Experience To Post

    SHELBYVILLE, Ind., Feb. 23 -- Ryobi Die Casting (USA), Inc.
today announced the appointment of Ted M. McQuinn to the position of president
and chief executive officer.
    McQuinn brings more than 30 years of automotive manufacturing industry
experience to Ryobi, most recently as founder and chief technical officer of
Tahrach, Inc., in Cornelius, N.C.  Additionally, McQuinn spent more than
20 years with Allison Transmissions, holding a number of key management
positions, including chief engineer of World Transmissions and Commercial
Products.  At Clark-Hurth Components, he held the position of vice president,
Worldwide Engineering, with organizations in Belgium, Italy, and North
Carolina, as well as vice president and general manager of Lab Operations in
Buchanan, Michigan.

to grow our business as we move into the new millennium," said Susumu
Yoshikawa, the Company's chairman.
    McQuinn received a BME degree from General Motors Institute in Automotive
Design (now Kettering University) as well as an MBA, with emphasis in
Marketing and Finance, from Indiana University.  He also holds numerous U.S.
patents, and is a past president of the Indiana Chapter of the Society of
Automotive Engineers.
    A native of neighboring Johnson County, Indiana, McQuinn is married and
has two daughters.  He is also an avid golfer and recognized artist.
