Fletcher Named Global Logistics Director for Delphi Automotive Systems
    TROY, Mich., Feb. 23 -- Debra A. Fletcher, 41, has been hired
as director of Global Logistics for Delphi Automotive Systems ,
effective immediately.  In her new position, Fletcher assumes responsibility
for the development, coordination and implementation of Delphi's global
logistics strategies.  Mary Schafer, director of Global Production Control &
Logistics, made the announcement.
    In this position, Fletcher will chair Delphi's logistics circle of
colleagues -- a corporate-wide logistics team that focuses on the
establishment and implementation of best practices across the global Delphi
logistics network.  She will also be responsible for working with Delphi's
logistics management companies to drive initiatives worldwide, and will assist
in the development of Delphi's e-commerce logistics activities.
    Fletcher brings more than 23 years of transportation, logistics and supply
chain management experience to Delphi.  Most recently she designed and
implemented strategic network, transportation and third party logistics
solutions for Arthur Anderson LLP's Central Region Supply Chain consulting
practice in Detroit.  She also completed a distinguished career as a logistics
officer in the U.S. Marine Corps -- a service renowned for logistics
excellence -- holding several senior-level positions in Transportation and
distribution management, including director of Transportation Finance and
director of Logistics.  Fletcher also served as principal advisor to the
Defense Department's U.S. Transportation Command on in-transit and total asset
visibility issues during the post-Gulf War era, was lead functional analyst
and project manager for the integration of military logistics information
systems, and piloted several lean logistics initiatives and programs which
were adopted by various federal agencies and other military services.

further develop our lean and agile logistics network."
    A native of Marine City, Mich., Fletcher earned a master's degree in
Computer Information Systems from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in
Business Management from the University of North Carolina.  She also attended
the Naval School of Physical Distribution Management in Oakland, Calif.
