Sorge Named as Strategic Communications Director of VisteonDEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 23 -- Visteon Automotive Systems has named Marjorie Sorge director of Strategic Communications. She will be responsible for ensuring that all of Visteon's communications are leveraged to support the achievement of Visteon's goals and objectives. "Marjorie is a great addition to our communications team," said Susan Skerker, senior vice president, Corporate Relations. "She is renowned and well-respected in the industry and her experience will provide Visteon with great insight as we move forward." Sorge has 22 years of experience in automotive reporting and is known around the world. She has been editor-in-chief of Automotive Industries magazine, executive editor of Ward's Auto World, managing editor of Ward's Auto Dealer, a staff writer at The Detroit News, feature editor and labor editor at Automotive News and has done automotive reports for WJR radio. Recipient of several prestigious industry awards including Neal and Wheels awards, Sorge's work has also been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. She is on the boards of directors of Kettering University and the Automotive Press Association, and has served on the Car of the Century and North American Car of the Year juries. She also received a Distinguished Service Award from the Michigan Congress of Parents, Teachers and Students. She holds a BA in Journalism from Michigan State University. Sorge is married with three children, Warren, 25, William, 16, and Michael, 11.
