Sharon Cloke Promoted to Director of Training at CON-WAY
ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Feb. 18, 2000--Sharon Cloke has been promoted to director of training for Con-Way Transportation Services (CON-WAY). In her previous position she was manager of training for Con-Way Central Express (CCX) a CON-WAY component company.In her new position Cloke will be responsible for the development and implementation of all employee training initiatives for over 18,000 CON-WAY employees in North America. She will work directly with the managers of training at CON-WAY's three regional less-than-truckload carriers and will act as manager of training for CON-WAY's truckload, logistics and expediting component companies.
"Sharon's extensive experience within the CON-WAY organization and her proven, proactive, energetic approach to employee training and development will greatly contribute to CON-WAY meeting its goals as an organization in the year 2000 and in the future," said J. Patricia (Pat) Jannausch, director of human resources for the company. Cloke will report to Jannausch.
Cloke joined CCX in 1991 as an account manager and was promoted in 1992 to zone account manager. In 1993 she was named account management center supervisor with primary responsibilities for department training. She was named CCX manager of training in 1998 with responsibilities for new account executive, sales manager, customer service representative and new driver sales representative training. She also managed recruiting and retention initiatives. In addition, while at CCX Cloke served as the company's values task force chairperson and played a key role in the planning and implementation of annual meetings and workshops. Cloke attended Ferris State University and is a member of the International Society of Performance Improvement. She resides in Ann Arbor.
