SatCon's Advanced Fuel Cell Power Products Division Announces New MicroGrid Line of Fuel Cell Controllers and Software
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Feb. 17, 2000--SatCon Technology Corporation(R) (Nasdaq NM:SATC), a leader in power and energy management products, today announced that its Advanced Fuel Cell Power Products Division has introduced the MicroGrid(TM) Line of Fuel Cell Controllers and Software. The new line of digital controllers and software can integrate into any fuel cell power generation systems from small residential systems to larger commercial and industrial systems. With some software modifications, it can also be integrated into fuel cell hybrid-electric vehicles.The MicroGrid(TM) Line can be sized for any fuel cell power generation system including the large 500KW to 3MW commercial sizes for use in shopping malls or factories. It can operate line-coupled or stand-alone and can be used with any customer's power electronics. It can also be integrated with any fuel cell, battery or flywheel components.
