Glas-Aire Industries Group Ltd. Enters Internet Sales with New Product Release

    STUART, Fla.--Feb. 17, 2000--Glas-Aire Industries Group Ltd. ("Glas-Aire" or the "Company") (PSE:GLA), a leading designer, developer, manufacturer and marketer of original equipment automotive wind deflector accessories to automobile manufacturers world-wide announced a contract to manufacture a new patented consumer product named "Sun Zapper" and the opening of its Detroit area office.
    Attached to a car's visor, Glas-Aire's new product named the Sun Zapper, effectively stops direct sun and blinding glare. Made of tough, durable polycarbonate, it installs easily and provides comfortable viewing for both the driver and passenger. Glas-Aire developed the design from an Australian Patent provided by the North American licensee. Although new to the market, the product is currently available in a number of top quality mail order catalogs such as Motor Cars International, International Auto Sport and Rocky Mountain Motor Works. It is also available to be purchased on the Internet through Glas-Aire's e-tailers sharperauto.com and e-autoaccessories.com, two e-commerce companies providing a broad array of automobile accessories products.
    Three industry veterans are directing e-commerce for the Company and the Sun Zapper marketing and engineering; Marsh Munroe, nationally known catalogue and retail specialist; Bob Patteri, SEMA Hall of Fame Honoree and well respected industry leader; and, John Paskvan, former GM and Nissan executive.
    Expanding product lines and distribution to the retail market is the next logical step for Glas-Aire and includes the Sun Zapper and a broad array of sun protection type products. The Sun Zapper will be manufactured in Glas-Aire's newly expanded facilities.
    The Company also announced the opening of its Detroit sales and engineering facility. John Paskvan, former GM and Nissan executive joined Glas-Aire sales and engineering team at their new office in Brighton, Michigan. Alex Ding, President of Glas-Aire stated, "From this modern facility we will be able to continue serving the Big Three plus the Canadian OEMs located in the Toronto area without concerns for time changes and distance. Our goal is continuous improvement and efficiencies for our OEM customers." Mr. Paskvan, Vice President of Engineering and New Product Development, joins industry veteran Bob Patteri and his staff in the New Brighton Office who have represented Glas-Aire to the OEM market for ten years.
