Registration Opens For Historic Route 66 Motorcycle Tour
GRAPEVINE, Texas--Feb. 16, 2000--Kirk Woodward, CEO of HHJM, Inc., has announced the opening of Early Bird Registration for The 6th Annual Mother Road Ride/Rally on June 10, 2000.The event annually sends all brands of motorcycles along the highway made famous in the song: "Get Your Kicks on Route 66," and the 1960's television series: "Route 66."
Registration information is available by phone at: 1-800-553-5883 and on the Internet at www.hhjm.com/rally.
The Mother Road Ride/Rally, started by Woodward in 1994, is the only regularly scheduled motorcycle "all brands invited" event on what John Steinbeck, in his book "The Grapes of Wrath," called The Mother Road.
Route 66, decertified as a Federal highway after the completion of the Interstate Highway system in 1985, was created in 1926 to link Chicago and Los Angeles. It totaled over 2,400miles. Well over 50% is still rideable by street motorcycles.
