Federal-Mogul Achieves Ford Q1 StatusSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 15 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's Windsor, Ontario, Canada, facility has received Ford Motor Company's Q1 Award for outstanding quality. Federal-Mogul Windsor has a contract for machining V6 and V8 cylinder heads for Ford as well as a new contract for machining 5.4L connecting rods for the automaker. For 20 years, Ford facilities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Germany and the U.K. have all been home to Federal-Mogul Windsor's metal cutting systems for cylinder blocks, camshafts, connecting rods, crankshafts, oil pumps and bearing caps. Federal-Mogul Windsor has over 200 employees and machines connecting rods and cylinder heads for major automotive customers. The facility also manufactures machines and machining systems.
