Bell Industries Promotes Russell A. Doll to Senior Vice President

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--Feb. 14, 2000--Russell A. Doll has been promoted to senior vice president of Bell Industries, Inc. , it was announced today by Tracy A. Edwards, Bell's president and chief executive officer.
    Doll, 38, was previously vice president and chief financial officer, a position he held since February 1999. In his new position, Doll assumes additional responsibilities for corporate administration and business expansion. He will retain the title of chief financial officer.
    "Russ has extensive expertise in planning, acquisitions and financings and has played an integral role in the restructuring of Bell since we sold our electronics distribution business last year," said Edwards. "We are pleased to have Russ expand his involvement in the company's growth and development."
    Before joining Bell, Doll was vice president and chief financial officer of Predelivery Service Corporation, a former subsidiary of Ford Motor Corporation. Prior to that, Doll served 12 years with Price Waterhouse, where he was senior manager in the firm's Los Angeles and Leeds, England offices.
    A native of Southern California, Doll earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
    Bell's primary business is the systems integration group, a multi-regional provider of integrated computer technology solutions for large and medium-sized organizations. Bell also distributes after-market parts and accessories to the recreational vehicle market and manufactures specialized products for the computer and electronics industry.
