Gunn Automotive Named Most User-Friendly Auto Web Site

    SAN ANTONIO, Texas----Feb. 14, 2000--Gunn Automotive's gunnauto.com Web site has been named the winner of the "Most User Friendly" category in the Second Annual Best Auto Dealer Web Sites contest which is co-sponsored by Automotive News and Ziff Davis Publishing, publisher of Yahoo! Internet Life and SMART BUSINESS for the New Economy.
    The Best Auto Dealer Web Sites Awards recognize those auto retailers who are most effectively using the Internet to market themselves to prospective automotive buyers.
    Comments from the judges include: "Your compelling Web site stood out among the best of hundreds of entries from automotive dealers across the nation." Criteria examined by the judges noted ease of use, download time, search speed and the use of graphics to facilitate the user's experience.
    Reviewer comments include, "great Web site with large, yet easy-to-download photos" and it implements "very user-intuitive language throughout the site."
    Gunn Automotive's innovative retail store -- gunnauto.com at North Star Mall -- was the first retail store in the country where a buyer can shop for a vehicle and be approved (tentatively) for purchase outside of a traditional dealership.
    To date, the gunnauto.com Web site has had more than 1,926,594 hits with an average of 20,176 hits per day.
