Intermet Chief Financial Officer Doretha J. Christoph to Resign

    TROY, Mich., Feb. 11 -- Intermet Corporation
announced today that Doretha J. Christoph, chief financial officer, has
resigned to accept a CFO position with a large West Coast company.
    With headquarters in Troy, Michigan, Intermet Corporation is a full-
service supplier of powertrain, chassis/suspension and structural components
to the worldwide automotive industry.  Intermet also manufactures cranes and
