Gary E. Kummer Appointed Director, Field Sales at Johnson Controls, Inc.

    MILWAUKEE, Feb. 11 -- Johnson Controls, Inc. has
appointed Gary E. Kummer director of field sales for the building controls
business.
    In his new position, Kummer is responsible for driving sales strategies
and coaching the company's Systems and Services North America sales management
team located throughout the United States and Canada.
    Kummer, who joined Johnson Controls in 1980 as a sales engineer, has held
several sales and management positions within the company including posts in
Omaha, Neb., Chicago and Tampa, Fla.  Most recently, he was director of
education/state and local government sales.
    Kummer, a Manitowoc native, holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical
engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee.
    Johnson Controls, Inc., is a global market leader in automotive systems
and facility management and control.  In the automotive market, it is a major
supplier of seating and interior systems and batteries.  For nonresidential
facilities, Johnson Controls provides building control systems and services,
energy management and integrated facility management.  Johnson Controls,
