Exide Corporation Announces Third Fiscal Quarter Dividend

    READING, Pa., Feb. 9 -- Members of the Exide Corporation
Board of Directors have voted a corporate cash dividend for its
third fiscal quarter of $.02 per share of common stock, payable March 2, 2000,
to shareholders of record on February 21, 2000.
