'Vehicle of the Future' Design Contest - Call for Sponsors From DataDetroit.comDETROIT, Feb. 9 -- DataDetroit.com, an automotive specific Internet job board, is presenting the "Vehicle of the Future" design contest. The contest is targeted to high school students throughout North America. The students can submit a drawing and short explanation of their vision of a vehicle they will see in the future and win prizes and recognition for their work. Other prizes may be awarded depending on the interests of the sponsors. The contest timetable is scheduled to begin with a late February kick-off; judges will be named in March; all entries in by June 1; finalists named in mid-June; and winners selected in early July 2000. DataDetroit.com will create an exclusive section of their current National Automotive Employment web site (http://www.datadetroit.com ) to administer the contest. The contest site will contain a general information page, a rules page, an entry form, and a poster. The poster can be printed and displayed in high school classrooms and hallways. All pages will contain the marquee sponsor's 468x60 banner and the co-sponsors' 234x60 banners. All banners will be linked to the sponsor's company web page of choice. DataDetroit.com is seeking one marquee sponsor, five co-sponsors, and a media sponsor for the contest. Sponsorship benefits are as follows: The Marquee Sponsor has the right to name the contest, right to set criteria, five press releases, and a 468x60 - linked banner ad on each contest web page. Co-Sponsors have the limited right to set criteria, five press releases, and a 234x60 - linked banner ad on the web site. DataDetroit.com will provide five press releases (one per month) and will include all the sponsors' names in each. The five press releases are "Kick Off," "Judges Named," "Last Call for Entries," "Finalists Named," and "Winners Announced." DataDetroit.com will provide the judges (sponsors may participate), judging criteria, contest rules, and other requirements. DataDetroit.com expects to generate a minimum of ten thousand page views on the contest web pages. A flat sponsorship rate results in an economical on-line advertising cpm for the sponsors. The Marquee sponsor's name will always appear whenever the contest is mentioned. Sponsors can supply gifts to winners, finalists, or entries in exchange for extra promotional consideration as they see fit.
