Otis E. Hayes Named Director of Quality, CTS Corporation
ELKHART, Ind.--Feb. 8, 2000--Otis E. Hayes has been named Director of Quality, CTS Corporation according to an announcement today by Joseph P. Walker, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of CTS.Hayes comes to CTS from Coto Technology, the world's largest supplier of dry-reed and solidstate relays to the automatic test equipment market. As Director of Quality Assurance at Coto, he was responsible for multi-plant, worldwide quality management including international facilities in Asia. At CTS Corporation, Hayes will have responsibility for the ongoing development and overall administration of the Corporation's process of continuous quality improvement. He will establish verification guidelines for all products and services offered for sale, and ensure that both existing and new quality policies and procedures are deployed and implemented throughout the Company to continually meet or exceed customer expectations.
Hayes is a 1985 graduate of the University of Kentucky where he received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1987, he received his M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. He began his business career in 1987, as a Design Engineer with Harris Semiconductor Corporation and steadily progressed to Manager, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.
In 1994, he accepted the position of Quality Assurance Manager with Cherry Semiconductor Corporation and continued in that position until 1997 when he joined Coto Technology as Director of Quality Assurance.
Hayes is a member of the American Society of Quality and the American Society of Mechanical Engineering. He has received accreditation from the American Society of Quality as both Certified Quality Auditor (1995), and Certified Quality Manager (1997).
