SDRC and Siemens AG Engage in Partnership for Competitive Excellence; Siemens AG Standardizes on SDRC Software and Services in 8 Out of Its 9 Divisions

    CINCINNATI--Feb. 7, 2000--SDRC , a leading global supplier of Internet-enabled collaborative product development solutions, today announced that Siemens AG is engaging with SDRC in a partnership for competitive excellence. As part of this partnership program, the power transmission and distribution group (Siemens EV, Munich, Germany) of Siemens AG recently standardized on I-DEAS(R) software. Siemens AG has now standardized on SDRC solutions -- including I-DEAS and Metaphase(R) Enterprise(TM) software and related services -- at 8 out of its 9 divisions.
    Siemens is one of the largest electrical engineering and electronics companies in the world. Over the past 7 years, more than 5,000 seats of SDRC software have been implemented within Siemens AG. In moving to the formal partnership model, both companies expect that the relationship will grow stronger, resulting in an even more intense adoption of SDRC's products and related services within Siemens AG. The most recent deployment of I-DEAS at Siemens EV is enabling a global information network across all locations where I-DEAS is implemented as the core product development system.
