Isuzu Marks the New Year with Record Breaking SalesCERRITOS, Calif., Feb. 4 / -- American Isuzu Motors Inc. announced January commercial vehicle retail sales of 947 trucks, setting the highest figures for the month of January in the company's history. The strong January numbers provided Isuzu's commercial vehicle division with a 51% increase over 1999 month-to-date numbers. Isuzu's NPR Class 3-4 trucks low cab forward trucks opened the new year with impressive sales performance numbers. Leading the charge was the NPR diesel, which posted a 61% increase over the 1999 year-to-date figures. Continuing to establish its presence in the Class-5 market with the NQR and FRR models, Isuzu dealers bested last year's January figure by 70% and 160% respectively.
