Textron Automotive Appoints White to Lead McCord Winn Division
    TROY, Mich., Feb. 4 -- Textron Automotive Company today
announced it has named William N. (Barney) White as President of its McCord
Winn Division, reporting to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer,
Sam Licavoli.  Headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire, McCord Winn Textron
is known for its proprietary product technologies in AccuFit(TM) and
BodyFit(TM) seating comfort and health systems, RITec(TM) integrated fluid
reservoir system, and powerwash systems for headlamps.
    "Barney's strong background in market expansions, manufacturing
innovation, total quality and team management coupled with his extensive
experience in leading world-class automotive businesses makes him the ideal
executive to assume this critical position at McCord Winn Textron as we
continue to build upon our core base," remarked Licavoli.
    Mr. White joins McCord Winn Textron from Euclid Industries, L.L.C, a
subsidiary of Meritor Automotive in Cleveland, Ohio.  Prior to the acquisition
by Meritor, he served as president and chief operating officer of Euclid
Industries, and since the acquisition, was general manager of Euclid and
Meritor North American Aftermarket Operations.
    Prior to employment at Euclid, Mr. White held a variety of senior
management positions with Varity Dayton Walther (Lucas Varity plc.),
Dayton, Ohio, where he served as president and CEO from 1994 to 1997, and
Monroe Auto Equipment (Tenneco, Inc.), Monroe, Michigan, where he served as
vice president, operations, engineering and strategic planning/acquisitions
from 1985 to 1994.
    Mr. White started his automotive career at International Harvester in 1964
where he was responsible for various disciplines including plant management,
manufacturing, and marketing/product development.
    He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton, Dayton,
Ohio, and has attended the Executive MBA Program at the Harvard Graduate
School of Business.
