BTCC: TOCA announces revised 2000 BTCC calendar

Following the recent agreement between TOCA and the BRDC to work together to avoid date clashes, further revisions to the calendar for the 2000 Auto Trader British Touring Car Championship have been confirmed. The season will now start as originally planned at Brands Hatch on Sunday 9 April in front of BBC TV's live cameras. The Donington Park meeting, originally scheduled for 26 March has now been switched to Easter Bank Holiday Monday, 24 April. The inaugural visit of the BTCC to Mondello Park near Dublin has been removed from this year's calendar. The essential improvement work required to bring the circuit up to the standards demanded by the FIA and TOCA for an event of this stature has not been completed in time. TOCA has every intention of taking the BTCC to Ireland in the future and may once again look to do so in 2001.
