Pennzoil-Quaker State Company Acquires Australian Automotive Accessories Business

    HOUSTON, Feb. 2 -- Pennzoil-Quaker State Company
announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pennzoil-Quaker State
Australia Company, has acquired Auto Fashions, a 25-year-old Australian
automotive accessories firm operated by Robert Hicks Pty Ltd.  Auto Fashions
is a leader in the Australian automotive air freshener, sunshade and comfort
accessories market.
    "With its attractive and practical line of products, Auto Fashions is a
perfect fit for Pennzoil-Quaker State Australia," said Carlos Alcantara,
president of international operations for Pennzoil-Quaker State Company.
