Advanced Tubular Products Acquires MascoTech Specialty Tubing
    NICHOLASVILLE, Ky., Feb. 2 -- MascoTech Specialty Tubing, an
operating facility of the Tubular Products subsidiary of Taylor Michigan-based
MascoTech, Inc , has been acquired by an independent group of
investors and will operate as Advanced Tubular Products.
    The Nicholasville, KY-based company is an ISO 9002 certified producer of
welded stainless steel tubing for automotive, industrial and various consumer
products applications.  The company operates nineteen (19) tube mills and
produces tubing from 3/16" to 3" in diameter with walls ranging from 0.010 to
0.085".  Their in-house tooling capabilities and flexible operating methods
enable maximum customer satisfaction.
    Richard J. Bitterman has been named the company's new President and Chief
Executive Officer.  Previously Bitterman was the Vice President of
Manufacturing for Toledo, OH-based ERG Industries and has 28 years experience
in the metal fabricating industry.
    Monty B. Kuxhaus, will continue as the company's Chief Operating Officer
and Plant Manager and the existing management team will continue to operate
the Nicholasville facility.
