Delphi Receives Partner Status Award From John Deere
KOKOMO, Ind., Feb. 2 -- Delphi Automotive Systems
was recently honored for achieving "Partner Status" in John Deere's 1999
Achieving Excellence/JD CROP Program. This is the highest achievable level
for Deere & Company's quality award program.
The prestigious 1999 partner status was presented to Delphi Delco
Electronics Systems for supplying heavy-duty audio receivers, pressure sensors
and speakers. The achievement was based on quality, delivery, technical
support and cost management.
Delphi Delco Electronics Systems has been supplying audio receivers to
John Deere since 1989 for tractors produced at Deere's Waterloo Works.
"This recognition is a clear signal from John Deere that quality leads to
customer satisfaction and those are the ingredients that allow Delphi to
maintain its role as a significant employer in the area," said Charles R.
Meier, general director of North America Region Marketing and Sales.
Delphi Automotive Systems, headquartered in Troy, Mich., USA, is a world
leader in automotive components and systems technology. Delphi's three

had approximately 203,000 employees and operated 166 wholly owned
manufacturing sites, 39 joint ventures, 51 customer centers and sales offices

With the addition of Lucas Diesel Systems in January 2000, Delphi's
headcount grew to approximately 213,500 employees worldwide. The company now
operates 175 wholly owned manufacturing sites, 41 joint ventures, 51 customer
centers and sales offices and 27 technical centers in 37 countries. Regional
