Providata Automotive Announces New Automotive Forecasting Division, Appoints Greg Bonner to Lead New Business
          Providata Automotive to Release New Light-Vehicle Forecast
                            In Second Quarter 2000

    ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 1 -- Providata Automotive, the leading
management consulting/market research firm that is solely focused on the
global automotive industry, announced today it has created an Automotive
Vehicle Forecasting division.  The company also has appointed automotive
forecaster Greg S. Bonner to serve as director of this division.
    This new business, according to Providata Automotive President Scott D.
Upham, will produce a North American Light-Vehicle Production Forecast product
that will provide automotive executives and strategic planners with advance
product planning information, vehicle production volume forecasts and
specifications.  The production forecast is targeted for release during the
second quarter of 2000.
    "Through the appointment of Greg Bonner, Providata Automotive has expanded
its product lineup to vehicle manufacturers and automotive suppliers," Upham
said.
    Bonner has extensive strategy/consulting experience and a solid background
in strategic planning, marketing research, financial analysis and product
information analysis.  Prior to joining Providata Automotive, he served as a
consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers' Autofacts division, where he created
North American automotive industry forecasts for client utilization in
manufacturing and product planning activities.
    He began his career in 1993 as an auditor for Arthur Andersen LLP in
Philadelphia, Pa.
    Bonner earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Villanova
University in Pennsylvania.  An oft-quoted source to major news media, Bonner
is a member of several organizations, including the Society of Competitive
Intelligence Professionals and the Society of Automotive Analysts.

    New Light-Vehicle Forecast
    Providata Automotive's quarterly North American Light-Vehicle Production
Forecast product will provide a 10-year forecast, through the 2010 calendar
year.  It will include:  production levels by manufacturer, platform,
nameplate and production facility; future vehicle manufacturer product program
activity; analyses of the current and future automotive business environment;
detailed trend analysis; in-depth light-vehicle production tracking reports;
and historical production volumes.
    The cost for a one-year subscription to Providata Automotive's North
American Vehicle Forecast Service is $6,000.  This will include hard copies
and CD-ROMs, as well as one-year access to Providata Automotive's forecasting
staff and special vehicle forecasting web site.
