BorgWarner Turbo Systems Brazil Facility Achieves ISO 9001
    CHICAGO, Jan. 26 -- BorgWarner Turbo Systems in Campinas,
Brazil, has received its ISO 9001 certification.  ISO 9001 is a standard on
quality management systems developed by the International Standard
Organization (ISO) and recognized worldwide.
    "We're very proud of this achievement and what this represents to our
customers," said Januario do Carmo, vice president and general manager of the
Campinas operation.  "It is the result of the hard work and dedication of our
employees, who will now turn their efforts toward the achievement of QS-9000
certification this year."  QS-9000 is the Quality System Standard that was
developed by a joint Chrysler/Ford/General Motors task force.  It includes
both the requirements of ISO-9001 and the specific automotive industry
requirements which are more stringent than the international standard.
