RAC Inspections to Partner Auto Online's Innovative E-Business Solution for Lowering Vehicle Remarketing Costs and Lead Times
LONDON, Jan. 26 -- Auto Online, a new company specializing in
providing an e-business solution for the re-marketing of quality used
vehicles, has signed an agreement today with RAC for the motoring organization
to provide Auto Online's automotive trade customers with vehicle inspection
and engineering services.
Commenting on the announcement, Auto Online's managing director, Kamal
Bengougam, said: "For trade buyers to purchase vehicles with confidence, it
is imperative to give them the data that they need to make an educated
decision, which a reputable organization such as RAC will provide."
The inspection tool utilized by RAC will be able to conduct and transfer
all inspection data electronically, giving Auto Online the ability to
re-market a vehicle within 48 hours. This will meet one of its key objectives
of significantly lowering remarketing lead times.
Commenting on RAC's comprehensive inspection process Auto Online's
logistics director Simon Hanks said: "RAC's ability to deliver trusted
information combined with Auto Online's e-business expertise provides a
solution that will appeal to both buyers and sellers alike."
RAC business-to-business director of marketing Chris Reynolds commented:
"Pioneering innovations will transform the ways in which companies conduct
business with their customers and each other. RAC are delighted to play a key
part in a groundbreaking initiative which will be of huge benefit to the trade
and set standards for others to follow."
Auto Online has developed its e-business solution specifically for the
automotive trade to significantly lower the costs and lead times of
remarketing quality used vehicles. Designed as a business-to-business tool for
dealers and fleet managers, this e-business initiative provides comprehensive
details of de-fleeted cars online. The use of the internet will save time and
money by accelerating the lead times to market as well as reduce the process
of de-fleeting and re-marketing vehicles.
