Meridian Insurance Group Signs Agreement With ebix.com to Provide Quotes On Auto Insurance
ATLANTA--Jan. 26, 2000--ebix.com Inc. today announced that Meridian Insurance Group, Inc. will offer quotes for personal auto insurance on www.ebix.com, the world's first comprehensive insurance portal. Through ebix.com, qualified consumers will now be able to receive quotes from Meridian and transact the entire business online. Industry analyst A.M. Best Company has consistently rated Meridian as "Excellent" for the past 50 years. Meridian, which writes personal lines, farm owners and commercial line coverages in 19 states, will initially quote policies for consumers in Virginia and Washington, adding Missouri mid-year and selected states later."This partnership with Meridian strengthens ebix.com's position in the online insurance market," said Robin Raina, President and CEO, ebix.com Inc.
