BorgWarner Declares Quarterly Dividend

    CHICAGO, Jan. 24 -- The board of directors of Borg-Warner
Automotive, Inc. has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.15 per
share on all of the company's issued and outstanding common stock.  The
dividend is payable February 15, 2000 to shareholders of record on February 1,
2000.
    Chicago-based Borg-Warner Automotive, Inc. is a product leader in highly
engineered components and systems for vehicle powertrain applications
worldwide.  The company operates 60 manufacturing and technical facilities in
13 countries.  Customers include Ford, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors,
Toyota, Caterpillar, Navistar, PSA and VW Group.
