Chrysler Financial Launches Internet Credit Application

23 January 2000

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Chrysler Financial today unveiled a state-of-the-art,
secure Internet credit application at the National Automobile Dealers Association
(NADA) convention. This new online service is expected to dramatically reduce
the time consumers spend securing automotive financing. It will be available on
Chrysler Financial's website.

The new application will allow consumers to get immediate financing
decisions from Chrysler Financial, select a Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep dealer in
their area, and check the status of their application via e-mail.

"Consumers should be able to fill out a credit application and receive a
credit decision at their convenience. Chrysler Financial gives consumers that
choice," said Tom McAlear, Chief Operating Officer of DaimlerChrysler
Financial Services (debis) North America. Chrysler Financial has taken a
leadership position in online credit approvals. Unlike our competitors, our
new online credit application allows consumers to enter basic personal
information on one screen and receive a full credit decision. It doesn't
require our dealers to invest in new equipment or training since it utilizes
existing systems and processes," McAlear said.

To use the online credit application, consumers simply fill out a single
screen of basic personal information in a secure, data-encrypted site, select
a dealer in their area, and then submit their application. Most applicants
receive an immediate response online and via e-mail from Chrysler Financial
about the status of their application. The dealer selected by the consumer is
also notified of the consumer's application status. Approved applications are
valid 30 days from approval date.
