Porsche Names General Manager, Service
    ATLANTA, Jan. 21 -- Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) today
announced the appointment of J. David Martin to the position of general
manager, Service.
    Formerly manager, Vehicle Distribution and Logistics with PCNA, Martin
will direct the activities of the service department including long- and
short-range planning, budgeting, dealer service operations, technical
services, service training and dealer service support.  He will report to
Richard S. Ford, executive vice president and COO.
    "We are happy to have Dave filling this new and critical position at
Porsche Cars North America," said Frederick J. Schwab, PCNA president and CEO.
"Dave has 15 years of experience in the PCNA organization and understands the
importance of the service function for our dealers and Porsche owners."
    Martin has held a number of positions at PCNA, including regional manager
positions in sales, service and parts. Early in his career with PCNA, Martin
was responsible for the set-up and operational management of PCNA's former
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) center in Reno, Nev.
    Before joining PCNA, Martin worked for Toyota Motor Distributors and was
involved in the company's inland port operation in Chicago.
    In related personnel changes, PCNA has appointed Tim Quinn, formerly PDI
manager, to the position of manager, Vehicle Distribution and Logistics.
