Omron Automotive Electronics Announces New North American Headquarters in Fall 2000FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Jan. 20 -- Omron Automotive Electronics, a global supplier of advanced electronic components, announces plans to open a new North American Headquarters, Sales and Applications Center in Fall 2000. The 12,000 sq. ft. facility will be located in Novi, Mich. It will house sales and administrative offices and applications engineering facilities. The new headquarters will provide customer support and service to Omron's expanding customer base. Since 1995, Omron's automotive sales have increased more than 20 percent per year to over $120 million (U.S.). Annual revenues are projected to top $200 million (U.S.) by 2002. Omron Automotive currently operates three manufacturing facilities in North America: Omron Automotive Electronics, Inc., located in St. Charles, Ill., produces automotive relays, control modules and remote keyless entry systems. Omron Dualtec Automotive Electronics, Inc., located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, operates two divisions -- a Relay Division, producing plug-in and PCB relays, and a highly-automated Switch/ECU Division, producing power window and seat switch assemblies along with limit and accessory switch assemblies, electronic flashers and control modules.
