Federal-Mogul Receives Two Performance Awards from Honda Brazil

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 19 -- Federal-Mogul Lighting Products
today announced that its Brazilian facility has received awards from Honda for
superior quality and delivery performance in 1999.
    "We're honored that Honda considers us one of its leading suppliers in
Brazil," said Rick Streicher, vice president, Sealing Systems, Visibility and
Systems Protection Products.  "We've proven our quality and innovation here in
the U.S., and it is inspiring to be recognized by top automakers in other
parts of the world."
    The company received a merit award for outstanding quality and 100-percent
delivery performance during 1999 from Honda Automoveis do Brasil and
"Entrepreneurial Distinction" for its outstanding overall performance during
1999 from Moto Honda da Amazonia.
    In addition to the merit award, given to only five suppliers, Federal-
Mogul was recognized as the company with the best overall development
performance for its work on the MCG motorcycle program.
    Federal-Mogul supplies exterior lighting products -- head lamps, signal
lamps, license lamps and clearance high-mounted stop lamps -- to Honda for
both its passenger cars and motorcycles.
