 Nielsen//NetRatings Lists Autoweb.com as Industry's Top Ranked Web Property

    SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 18 Autoweb.com the leading consumer automotive 
Internet service achieved the number one ranking for unique visitors in 
December among onlinecar buying services.
 
The top ranking is based on Internet audience information
from Nielsen//NetRatings, an Internet audience measurement company.
Autoweb.com's unique visits were more than 56 percent higher than its nearest
competitor.  Autoweb.com also captured the number one ranking in November.
These results underscore Autoweb.com's leading market position as the
preferred Internet automotive service for consumers.

    The Nielsen//NetRatings information showed 1.3 million unique visits when
combined with Autoweb.com's premier automotive reference site, AutoSite.com,
Autoweb.com's unique visits grew 16 percent from November to December, while all other major competitors experienced visit
declines.

    "For two consecutive months, Autoweb.com has enjoyed tremendous traffic
growth on an already solid base reflecting the strength of our marketing
efforts, including our long-standing Yahoo! and AOL partnerships, and our

    In addition, for the second month in a row, Autoweb.com's online
advertising reached more consumers than any other online car buying service.
According to Nielsen//NetRatings, Autoweb.com received 65 million total ad
impressions, more than double the number of total online ad impressions for
its nearest competitor.
