15 January 2000

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 15 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
Marketing Communications Manager Ann Skrycki-Mohler was selected
by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) as one of drag racing's most
influential people in the 1990s. Skrycki-Mohler was one of a select group of
people who have had a great impact on the sport and helped carry drag racing
to even greater heights, according to NHRA's 1990s Review. She brought new
approaches to the sport, developed major sponsorships and dominated the
respective classes like no others before her.

"Congratulations to Ann on being named to NHRA's Ten Most Influential
People in Drag Racing in the 1990s," said Shelley Pepmeier, motorsports
manager, Federal-Mogul. "This award is a testament to all of the hard work
that went into the initiation of the Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series. I look
forward to continuing the great work that Ann and her team started with
Federal-Mogul's NHRA sportsman series sponsorship and to continuing to use our
relationship with the NHRA as a marketing tool to build Federal-Mogul's power
brands -- Champion(R), Fel-Pro(R) and Sealed Power(R)."
Skrycki-Mohler expanded Federal-Mogul's reach to an important customer
segment, the high-performance automobile enthusiast. She led the team that
developed the Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series. She had a heightened
commitment to raise the profile of Sportsman racing and the drivers who
compete in the series. The sponsorship package ultimately gave Sportsman
racers what they wanted: a series they could call their own, a television
package and a marketing and promotional push never before seen. Today, it
offers the richest payday to Sportsman racers with 64 drivers sharing a
$100,000 prize.
Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, Federal-Mogul is an automotive
