Former General Manager of MANN+HUMMEL AUTOMOTIVE, Inc. Leaves Company To Explore Other Opportunities
    PORTAGE, Mich., Jan. 13 -- MANN+HUMMEL AUTOMOTIVE, Inc.
announces the departure of Ms. Sigrid Valk-Feeney as of January 11, 2000.
Valk-Feeney has been with the company for 13 years and was instrumental in
building the company from a two-person manufacturing operation to a highly
respected Tier 1 supplier.  The company, then known as Geiger technic, Inc.,
enjoyed many successful years and was recognized as a leader in plastic
pressurized fluid reservoirs and closed-loop engine cooling systems.  After
serving in various management roles Valk-Feeney was appointed Vice President
of Geiger technic in 1994.  Her final act as Vice President was as the primary
negotiator for the Geiger shareholders in the sale to MANN+HUMMEL.  Valk-
Feeney started her career under contract with MANN+HUMMEL as the General
Manager of its North American facility located in Portage, MI.
    With 1998 sales of approximately $1 billion, the MANN+HUMMEL Group is
organized into two divisions, automotive and industrial.  The automotive
division, which serves the OEM, OES and Aftermarket, manufactures components
ranging from air, oil, fuel and cabin filters, to oil modules, fluid
reservoirs, air cleaners, composite intake manifolds, manifold modules and
complete induction systems.  With 27 manufacturing /sales locations worldwide,
MANN+HUMMEL employs approximately 7,800 people.
